– Travel  

The closest international airport is in Lisbon, Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS). 

– Immigration and visas  

If you must travel, please be sure that you understand your legal situation before coming to Portugal. 

Note: Portugal is part of the Schengen area. 

– Letter of invitation to apply for a visa 

ISU will provide you with a letter of invitation for your visa application upon request. Please contact ISU’s SSP Logistics Coordinator at SSP.Logistics@isunet.edu 

– Health insurance 

Health Insurance is MANDATORY for ALL SSP participants, staff, and instructors; ISU requires everyone to be covered before the arrival to the Space Studies Program site and for the entire stay. Health emergency transportation, health care, and liability must be covered by your health or travel insurance.
